Coolidge Park – 150 River Street

First up is the Coolidge Park, located on the city’s North Shore at 150 River Street. If you’ve never been to Coolidge Park, you may be the only person in Chattanooga who hasn’t. That’s because Coolidge Park is probably the best park in the city thanks to its interactive water fountain, the Walnut Street Bridge (one of the world’s largest pedestrian bridges), its rock climbing wall, its military memorial, its vast picnic area, its antique carousel that’s over 100 years old, and it’s close proximity to all of the restaurants and shops on the North Shore – meaning you can easily turn a trip to the park into a day-long adventure.
